Capacity-building and support measures
The two Advanced Partners have been specifically selected for their achieved top-class international recognition in the fields of chemical oceanography, marine ecology and experimental design (IOLR) and marine pollution, management plans and policy influence (UAB) and their complementary capacity to support CMMI in developing expertise related to the effects of climate change and anthropogenic stressors through understanding past (paleo) and present ecological conditions and designing management plans and policy reforms for the future.
Capacity-building and Networking activities will focus on strengthening the Research & Innovation capacity and skills of CMMI via the following:
- Develop of an international scientific and innovation roadmap, building on the interests and strengths of the consortium partners, while being aligned with relevant European-level SRIAs.
- Increase the scientific skills and improve the research capacities of CMMI via multidimensional activities focused on knowledge transfer and capacity-building. These include short-term staff exchanges on scientific missions, knowledge exchange between experts through visits and training, and capacity-building workshops.
- Implement knowledge transfer and capacity-building to enhance research management, administration, dissemination and entrepreneurial skills.
- Provide strategic support to CMMI to create impact on R&I policymaking.
