This workshop, organised jointly by the PUREEF-Y (GA101158830) and InPlasTwin (GA101160289) projects, focuses on “Advanced Spectroscopic Approaches for Microplastic Detection and Characterization”. It showcases advanced spectroscopic techniques for the detection and characterization of microplastics and introduces four complementary analytical approaches: LDIR imaging, micro-FTIR, QCL micro-IR, and micro-Raman spectroscopy.  Together, these sessions highlight how integrated spectroscopic strategies can improve accuracy, efficiency, and comparability in microplastic analysis across various research and monitoring applications.
